Collection, processing and use of personal data

You can use our website without making any statement about your person. We only collect anonymous usage data, such as the name of your Internet Service Provider, the site you’re visiting us from or the names of any requested documents, via a statistics program. This data is only utilized to improve our service and offers no information about your person.

When accessing this internet offering, we collect the following in a protocol document:

  • IP address in anonymized form

  • Time and date your visit

  • Visited site or name of the requested document (URL)

  • Status information (e.g. error codes)

  • Amount of transmitted data

This data is stored servers of our web host Alphahosting (also see Alphahosting’s privacy declaration) and sent via E-Mail to our project mail server, whereafter this data is saved locally in the mailing program in our computers. Any data you elect to share with us is used solely to answer your request to us.

Google Tools and data collection

If you use a Google browser, such as Chrome, to visit our web site, Google is analyzing your internet usage patterns. If you wish to avoid this, please use a different browser. This is also the case when using Google’s Maps function, which is embedded in this site under Directions. Apart from these, no Google tools are used to evaluate your usage pattern or to use it for advertising purposes.

Transmission of personal data

If you would like to receive a newsletter e-mail with project updates, we will need your e-mail address and further information that allows us to confirm that you are the owner of said e-mail address and are alright with receiving our newsletter.

To guarantee a mutually agreed-upon newsletter, we use the so-called double-opt-in method, unless you have already given us your express written consent to using your e-mail address. As part of this method, the potential recipient opts into being put on our mailing list. Thereafter, the recipient will receive a confirmation e-mail to allow legal use of their e-mail address. Only if this confirmation is given, the recipient is actively added to the mailer.

This data is used exclusively for the dispatch of said requested information and offers.

Our newsletter provider of choice is Newsletter2Go. Your data (name, e-mail address, gender) are transmitted to Newsletter2Go GmbH. Newsletter2Go is prohibited from selling your data or using it for purposes other than mailing newsletters. Newsletter2Go is a German certified provider, which was chosen according to the requirements of General Data Protection Regulation and Germany’s Federal Data Protection Law.
